Studying at our faculty is something more than simply learning languages at an advanced level. Apart from acquiring language skills in Polish, English, German, Russian, and French (these are the main languages in which you can study up to the C1 level), we also give you the opportunity to learn a second language up to the intermediate B2 level. Depending on the programme, these include, among others, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, or Polish as a foreign language. But that is not all, because studying with us is also your chance to develop passions for which a given language is an important foundation. By choosing one of the 14 Bachelor’s degree programmes, you can broaden your knowledge in literature, video games, new media, law, and economics. All this will allow you to acquire the competencies of a translator, editor, cultural animator, or PR specialist. What is more, if you decide to stay with us for your Master’s studies (all first-cycle degree programmes can be continued at our faculty within second-cycle studies), you will have the opportunity to obtain teaching qualifications. CREATIVE WRITING
Full-time second-cycle (Master’s) studies, general academic profile
The programme is aimed at people who wish to work in professions related to text creation, primarily literary, but also journalistic (journalist, columnist, cultural section employee in libraries, museums, and institutions of the so-called third sector, etc.). During the course of study, graduates acquire specialist knowledge in linguistics, literary studies, and cultural studies, as well as practical skills in communication in their native language. They also learn basic techniques of producing functional texts (such as announcements and copywriting) and are prepared to organise cultural events (author meetings, festivals, competitions, etc.). The knowledge gained during the studies enables graduates to actively participate in the book production process (text preparation, editing, acquiring funding for publication, promotion).
Graduates receive a broad humanistic education, which provides a context that enriches and expands their philological knowledge and skills, as well as field-specific education covering fundamental knowledge in linguistics, literary studies, and cultural studies, along with research and communication skills and social competences that allow them to plan their professional career.
Graduates are also prepared to undertake third-cycle (doctoral) studies, as during their education they acquire basic knowledge in text analysis methodology (research methodology, poetics, literary studies).

English Philology is a popular programme that attracts many students every year who are interested in English studies and developing their language competences. During your studies, you can choose your educational path, where specialised courses allow you to develop additional skills. At the full-time studies level, we offer Cultural Studies, Translation Studies, English with Spanish, and English with Italian, while at the part-time level we offer English in Business. Polish studies have undergone a thorough transformation. We no longer educate only teachers (although if you discover a passion for education, you will also gain the necessary qualifications to work as a teacher). Through specialised study modules, our programme also prepares you to enter the world of contemporary media, cultural institutions, and creative environments. In addition to a broad humanistic spectrum of topics and readings, you will also take part in creative and experimental classes, such as language workshops, writing labs, and text editing laboratories.
You can choose your own educational path. At the Bachelor’s level, the humanities and artistic module prepares you for work in the cultural media sector (journalist, literary critic, publicist, cultural event organiser, employee of cultural departments in public institutions and cultural organisations). By choosing the communication, image, and promotion module, you will learn how to cooperate effectively with the media, use promotional communication tools, and apply principles of ethics and etiquette in interpersonal communication. If you want to work in international companies using German, choose German in Business and Public Communication. These are interdisciplinary business studies conducted in Polish and German, which significantly develop your language competences in specialised business German.
This programme responds to the expectations of the contemporary job market in terms of the practical use of language skills. We will prepare you both for work in companies and institutions and for running your own business — wherever German is an essential element of communication in various areas. You will be able to communicate effectively with German-speaking partners, learn how recruitment and negotiation processes are conducted in German, and gain knowledge of basic business correspondence.
This programme teaches professional use of selected varieties of specialised German, with particular emphasis on the specifics of a bilingual working environment. Our graduates are prepared to work in dynamically developing BPO, ITO, and SSC companies in the region, as well as in international service-oriented companies (e.g. logistics, tourism, consulting, construction), production companies (e.g. manufacturing goods for the German-speaking market), trade companies (Polish, German, and international), public administration units, cultural institutions and organisations, and mass media.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY
Full-time second-cycle (Master’s) practical profile studies (language of instruction: Polish)
If you have completed first-cycle studies in Logopedia and want to continue your education while at the same time developing professionally — this is the ideal programme for you!
Currently, Logopedia is a modern field with a complex and applied character, which in turn gives it an interdisciplinary profile covering three main perspectives: linguistic, medical, and social. Studies in Logopedia train specialists and prepare them for work in various institutions and environments, including speech therapy clinics, counselling centres, social welfare centres, and educational institutions (provided that the elective teacher training module is completed).
The programme includes 870 hours of classes in the form of seminars, workshops, and tutorials. In the third semester, students complete a six-month professional internship (480 hours) in various institutions where speech therapists may work (e.g. speech therapy clinics, social welfare centres, private practices). Graduates are fully prepared to practise the profession of speech and language therapist.

If you are interested in working with people, want to help others, and would like to develop skills that have a real impact on another person’s quality of life, choose Speech and Language Therapy. This programme is designed for people who are sensitive to the needs of others, open to communication, and ready to gain practical skills needed for working with children, adolescents, adults, and older people.
A speech and language therapist is a specialist who diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent speech and communication disorders. They support children whose speech development is delayed or atypical, assist adults affected by injuries or illnesses that impair speech, and work with older people as well as individuals functioning in multilingual environments. The programme prepares students to work in speech therapy clinics, counselling centres, hospitals, educational institutions, and social welfare centres.
The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with intensive practical training. It includes courses in speech and language therapy, linguistics, psychology, sociology, and glottodidactics, as well as a teacher-training module that provides teaching qualifications. Students gain the competencies necessary to carry out preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic work with both children and adults.
During the programme, students may develop their interests within three elective modules. Artistic and Media Speech Therapy prepares students to work with actors, singers, journalists, and public speakers. Gerontological Speech Therapy responds to the growing demand for specialists working with older adults and patients with neurodegenerative diseases. Intercultural Speech Therapy develops competencies necessary for working in multilingual and multicultural environments.
Graduates of the programme are fully qualified to practise as speech and language therapists and are prepared to work in modern and rapidly developing areas of contemporary speech therapy.
