Pracownia Różnorodności i Migracji FORTHEM zaprasza studentów/studentek i pracowników/pracowniczek uczelni sojuszu do udziału w warsztatach na temat spraw międzykulturowych w szkolnictwie wyższym. Zorganizowane przez Uniwersytet Johannesa Gutenberga w Moguncji, finansowane przez Ministerstwo Rodziny, Kobiet, Kultury i Integracji landu Nadrenia-Palatynat i prowadzone przez Uniwersytet Opolski warsztaty dotyczą kwestii przywileju białych, a także sposobów na promowanie różnorodności w środowisku akademickim. Celem warsztatów jest wyposażyć uczestniczki i uczestników w wiedzę i kompetencje związane z rozpoznawaniem przywilejów grup większościowych, rozpoznawaniem swoich własnych postaw i eksplorowaniem sposobów na walkę z dyskryminacją w akademii. W warsztatach można wziąć udział niezależnie – w obu lub jednym z nich.
Zajęcia poprowadzą dr Marzanna Pogorzelska, wykładowczyni i badaczka oraz pełnomocniczka rektora ds. równego traktowania w Uniwersytecie Opolskim i dr Michał Wanke, który jest wykładowcą w naukach o kulturze, badaczem grup zmarginalizowanych i byłym koordynatorem biura ds. międzynarodowych programów studiów w UO.

Two FORTHEM Workshops: White privilege & Inclusive university environment
FORTHEM Diversity and Migration Lab invites partner university students and staff to participate in workshops related to intercultural issues in academia. Organized by the JGU with funding from the Ministry for Family, Women, Culture and Integration of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and carried out by the UO, the workshops cover issues of white privilege and the ways of promoting diversity in the academic environment. The workshops are aimed at equipping the participants with the knowledge and competences connected with recognizing majority privileges, exploring participants’ own attitudes and exploring the ways of combating discrimination in academic environment. They can be attended independently from each other.
The workshops will be conducted by dr. Marzanna Pogorzelska who is a lecturer, researcher and rector’s plenipotentiary for equal treatment at the University of Opole and dr. Michal Wanke who is a lecturer in cultural studies, researcher of marginalized groups and former coordinator of the office for international study programmes at the UO.
